The Anti-Fraud Law Group consists of three
seasoned trial lawyers, from different law firms, having joined
together to help people stop theft from the government
the government all of us pay for. They are dedicated to fighting
on behalf of the good people who want to do the right thing.
The Law Group combines the talents of employment, criminal,
personal injury and litigation lawyers to effectively go after
the bad companies who rip off our tax dollars every day. The
AFGL lawyers are all members of the American Trial Lawyers
Association and its Qui Tam Litigation Group. Their profiles
are included below.
WILLIAM V. HOYLE JR.
Bill Hoyle, 56, was graduated from the University of Richmond
law school in 1982 after working as a photojournalist, reporter
and editor for a decade. His practice is concentrated on civil
litigation, employment, medical malpractice and fraud actions,
including Qui Tam suits and class actions. He is co-editor
and contributing author of Employment Law in Virginia, a two-volume
handbook published by the Virginia State Bar.
Mr. Hoyle holds a Martindale-Hubbell A-V rating and is listed
in Martindale's Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, Who's
Who in American Law, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in
the World. He is admitted to practice before the United States
and Virginia Supreme Courts, the Virginia Court of Appeals,
the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Eastern and Western
U.S. District Courts in Virginia. He is a member of the Association
of Trial Lawyers of America's Qui Tam section and the National
Employment Lawyers Association.
KENNETH R. YOFFY
A Partner with the Newport News law firm of Cope, Olson and
Yoffy, P.L.C., Ken Yoffy concentrates his practice in civil
and criminal litigation, including Qui Tam litigation, personal
injury, medical malpractice, family law, civil rights and
criminal trials.
He is 54, and was graduated magna cum laude from the University
of Texas in 1978. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the
University of Richmond in 1981, where he was Moot Court chairman.
He is admitted to practice before the Virginia Supreme Court,
the Virginia Court of Appeals, the Circuit and District Courts
of Virginia, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the
Eastern U.S. District Court in Virginia.
He is a member of the Virginia and Newport News bar associations,
the Association of Trial Lawyers of America's Qui Tam Litigation
Group. He is married and lives with his wife, Judy, a teacher,
in Williamsburg. They have two grown sons.
C. THOMAS TURBEVILLE
Tom Turbeville, 45, is a partner in the Williamsburg firm
of Dansby & Turbeville, where he practices criminal and
personal injury law. He is a 1983 graduate of the College
of William and Mary and was admitted to practice law in Virginia
in 1989. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia
College of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the Williamsburg
Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the Virginia
Supreme Court, the Virginia Court of Appeals, the Circuit
and District Courts of Virginia, the Fourth Circuit Court
of Appeals, and the Eastern U.S. District Court in Virginia.
Mr. Turbeville is also a member of the Virginia and Newport
News bar associations, the Association of Trial Lawyers of
America's Qui Tam Litigation Group. Mr. Turbeville and his
wife live in Williamsburg, with their four children, ages
eight through 12.
